Thank you for your service & sacrifice.

October 30th marks the National Day of Remembrance (NDOR) for Nuclear Weapons Program Workers. This honorary holiday recognizes the hundreds of thousands of men and women who worked in the nuclear weapons development industry—strengthening and maintaining our nation’s nuclear defense.

This year we’re honoring your atomic legacy as we celebrate your contribution and service in our nation’s nuclear weapons complex. We humbly honor the many sacrifices you made which resulted in incredible innovation and significant contributions to our nation’s defense during World War II, throughout the Cold War, and into the present day.

We are forever grateful for your work in the nuclear weapons complex, and the many freedoms it has provided our nation.

Celebrate with us!

We’re so excited to celebrate NDOR with you and are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s celebration unlike any other! To maintain your health and safety we will be celebrating NDOR virtually all October-long in addition to drive-through events across the country. Join us as we honor your atomic legacy!

Rocky Flats pin

Free commemorative pin

This year’s pin commemorates the contributions of the Rocky Flats Plant. Located near Golden, Colorado, the Rocky Flats Plant operated from 1952 until 1989 as part of the United States’ nuclear weapons complex. The facility manufactured nuclear weapons parts for nearly 40 years and is well known for its production of the weapons triggers or “pits” made from plutonium buttons which were incorporated into weapons parts. The significance of the Rocky Flats Plant can be seen through its legacies—the nuclear weapons it helped manufacture for our nation’s defense and the tens of thousands of men and women who worked at the plant, serving in our nation’s nuclear weapons complex.
