Constructed by General Electric Company in 1956, the Pinellas Plant’s purpose was to develop and manufacture neutron generators used in nuclear weapons and nuclear explosions. After just a year of establishment, GE sold the facility to the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission in 1957. Employees of Pinellas had the potential of being exposed to high concentrations of beryllium due to its use and the residual/decontamination processes.
With Nuclear Care Partners, live with greater comfort, dignity, and independence.
